Omarax is an advocate for equality and equity with over 20 years of providing direct case management. In her seven year tenure at Jericho Projects Rapid Rehousing program, Omarax served homeless young adults and veterans. 

In 2022 Omarax returned to the Harlem Community Justice Center Program as Manager for Housing and Justice Initiatives. Omarax has served on the forefront of providing eviction prevention to the community. 

Omarax has previously worked at the Harlem Community Justice Center for 11 years. At the Harlem Community Justice Center she also led  Juvenile Reentry and Juvenile Justice Intervention program. 

• Omarax holds Masters degree in Urban Studies from Hunter College.
